Xi’an is the capital of Shaanxi Province in northwest China and the starting point of the Silk Road. It is one of the oldest cities in China and was the capital of several dynasties throughout Chinese history. The city is known for its monuments and ancient architecture, and is home to numerous important cultural, religious and historical sites, including the Terracotta Army, the Wild Goose Pagoda, the City Wall and the Bell and Drum Towers.
