Olokminsk is a town and the administrative center of Olyokminsky District in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic of Russia. Located in the centre of the district, on the left bank of the Olokma River, the town is home to 9,210 inhabitants. It is served by the Olokminsk Airport (IATA: OLZ). The town is known for its many monuments, including the Church of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin and the Monument to the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The surroundings are also home to a number of natural attractions, such as Lake Olokminsky and the Olokma Reserve. The area has a rich history and culture, and the traditional crafts of the region are still practiced by local residents.
